Countries are treated as low, standard or high risk. Countries not listed as low or high retain standard risk.
China, Vietnam, United States, India, EU Member States and many others are on the current low-risk list.
Brazil and Indonesia are examples of countries that are not in the low/high Annex list and therefore retain standard risk.
Belarus, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Myanmar and Russian Federation are listed as high risk.
Benchmarking changes the compliance approach and authority-check rates, but operators still need to meet the applicable EUDR requirements. Re-check the official list before a transaction because classifications can be revised.
